The child will progress through a few stages of development in the program:

• Understanding of the abacus
• Progress to usage of the abacus as a calculation tool.
• The child will then master the ability to do additions, subtractions, multiplication and division using the abacus.
• Visualisation of the abacus in their mind as they do calculations
• Grasp the concept of decimal points which will assist them in learning about dollars and cents.
• Solve complex calculations in their mind
